Studio Privacy & Data Protection Policy

Comprehensive institutional privacy disclosures governing accredited co-producers, film syndicate participants, script submissions, and digital telemetry under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA 2023) and MCA statutory directives.

Effective: Fiscal 2026-2027 256-Bit Encrypted Architecture

Fiduciary Privacy Commitment

At HNS Media Entertainment & Productions House Ltd. ("HNS Media", "we", "our", or "the Studio"), we operate an institutional film financing syndicate and creative motion picture house. We maintain zero tolerance for unauthorized dissemination of investor identities, bank escrow accounts, script intellectual properties, or theatrical revenue distribution data. This document sets out our strict legal, digital, and contractual protocols for securing all stakeholder data.

Section 01

Scope and Fiduciary Controller Identity

This Privacy Policy applies to all accredited cinema co-producers, individual investors, institutional fund managers, talent agencies, writers, and website visitors who interact with HNS Media via our web portal, digital data rooms, or offline physical studio headquarters.

The legal Data Fiduciary responsible for your personal and financial telemetry is HNS Media Entertainment & Productions House Ltd., registered under the Companies Act, 2013, with corporate headquarters in Mumbai, India.

Section 02

Categories of Information Collected

To comply with regulatory MCA, RBI, and SEBI compliance guidelines for film Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), we collect strictly delimited categories of information:

Investor Identity & KYC

Full legal name, verified PAN (Permanent Account Number), Aadhaar verification hash, corporate incorporation documents, CIN/LLPIN, and accredited investor net-worth declarations.

Escrow Banking Coordinates

Designated institutional bank account details, cancelled cheque records, RTGS/NEFT settlement instructions, and tax deduction (TDS) Form 16A withholding history.

Script & IP Submissions

Screenplay treatments, loglines, pitch decks, writer guild registration timestamps, and legal non-disclosure acknowledgments submitted through our Creative Gateway.

Telemetry & Portal Audit Logs

IP addresses, device finger-prints, login timestamps, cryptographic token authentication records, and page navigation metrics across our co-producer dashboard.

Section 03

Lawful Basis and Operational Purpose

We collect and process your information exclusively under defined lawful grounds:

  • Execution of Motion Picture Co-Production Agreements: Facilitating contractual commitments, allocating project SPV shares, establishing bank escrow accounts, and executing revenue waterfalls.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Complying with MCA annual filing mandates, statutory Chartered Accountant audits, RBI foreign direct investment guidelines, and Income Tax Department TDS reconciliations.
  • Audited Telemetry Delivery: Providing real-time access to theater Daily Collection Reports (DCR), multiplex settlement advances, and digital OTT license milestones.
  • Screen Title Crediting: Processing legal on-screen co-producer credits for official Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) censor certificates, theatrical release prints, and IMDb registries.
Section 04

Bank-Grade Security Architecture & Data Rooms

All financial data, syndicate investor rosters, and proprietary production budget sheets are isolated within secure virtual data rooms protected by 256-Bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) at rest and Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3) in transit.

Access to specific project SPV bank escrow data is strictly compartmentalized: co-producers have read-only access limited strictly to the motion picture slates in which they hold accredited contractual participation.

Section 05

Strict Non-Disclosure & Authorized Disclosures

HNS Media never sells, leases, commercializes, or trades stakeholder information to any third-party marketing or advertising networks. Disclosures are limited strictly to certified institutional counterparties:

• Scheduled Commercial Escrow Banks: Solely for KYC verification and processing direct waterfall bank transfers.

• Statutory Chartered Accountants & Legal Trustees: For auditing waterfall disbursements and certifying Form 16A tax schedules.

• Judicial and Government Authorities: Strictly when compelled under Indian statutory law or court subpoenas.

Section 06

Statutory Record Retention Schedule

Under Section 128 of the Companies Act, 2013, and statutory tax statutes, all co-production contracts, SPV settlement ledgers, and KYC records are preserved in encrypted archives for a mandatory period of eight (8) years following the completion of the project waterfall lifecycle. Script treatments that are not greenlit are permanently wiped from production servers upon author notice.

Section 07

Stakeholder Rights & Grievance Redressal

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA 2023), you hold the right to access your stored data summary, correct inaccuracies, or request erasure (subject to statutory tax retention constraints).
